Making And Collecting Payments

As an event organiser, keeping all your payments in one place is a top priority. With the Padoq wallet, you can quickly manage your finances, sell tickets or merchandise, request payments for group activities, keep track of who’s paid, and issue any refunds. Here’s how to get the most out of the Padoq wallet. 

Setting Up Your Wallet

In order to access the payment functionalities of Padoq such as direct payments, payment posts, and paid events, you must first have your user wallet set up.  

  • Go to the ‘Me Page’ in the bottom right corner of the Home Feed and select the wallet icon in the top left corner of the screen. 
  • Select ‘Add Payment Details’
  • Fill in your name, email, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, chosen currency and the name of your wallet. (This is known as KYC – Know Your Customer and is a legal requirement to use the 3rd party payment platform MangoPay.)
  • Now that your wallet is created, you are taken to the top up page where you can choose how much you want to add to your wallet. You can save multiple cards in Padoq and you can skip topping up your wallet by pressing the X in the top right corner. 

Creating A Payment Request

Tired of chasing the stragglers for their payments? The Padoq Wallet helps you avoid any awkward conversations over money with a quick payment request. 

  • Once you’ve set up a payment post, head to the wallet at the top of your Padoq.
  • You’ll be taken to a screen that displays the payment activities where you then need to tap the ‘Requests’ button. 
  • Select the relevant payment post.
  • On the ‘Outstanding’ tab, choose the member you require payment from and click ‘Send Reminder’.

Topping Up Your Wallet

Need easy access funds for an upcoming event? Keep your pockets full and send payments at the tap of a button. Here’s how to top up your Padoq Wallet:

  • Go to the Me Page in the bottom right corner of the Home Page and select the wallet icon in the top left corner of the screen
  • Ensure that you have the correct wallet selected, if not change it in the Wallets tab
  • Select ‘Top Up’
  • Enter the amount you want to add to the wallet
  • Select a saved card or add a card to Padoq
  • Select ‘Top Up’

Withdrawing From Your Wallet

Withdrawing your payments is quick and easy. Here’s how to get a hold of your funds:

  • Go to the Me Page in the bottom right corner of the Home Page and select the wallet icon in the top left corner of the screen. 
  • Ensure that you have the correct wallet selected, if not, change it in the Wallets tab.
  • Select ‘Withdraw’.
  • Enter the amount you wish to withdraw from the wallet.
  • Add your bank account details.
  • Select ‘Withdraw’.

Managing The Padoq Wallet As The Treasurer

Managing separate transactions from all your activities is a simple process thanks to Padoq’s payment functionalities. Here’s what you can do as the treasurer:

  • Set up wallets.
  • Create and manage payment and paid event posts.
  • Track who’s paid, who’s outstanding, and who’s declined. 
  • Request payments.
  • Top-up wallet.
  • Withdraw.
  • Issue refunds.
  • Assign another user as the treasurer.

Direct Payments

Making single payments has never been easier. Here’s how to make a transaction with a Padoq member: 

  • From your padoq, click on the members button underneath the padoq name.
  • Choose a user from your member list to be taken to their profile.
  • Click the ‘Pay’ button and check that you have the correct wallet loaded. You can change this in the Wallets tab. 
  • Specify the amount to be paid and add a reference.
  • Click ‘Pay’
